Behaviour
Traffic Light Behaviour System at Taumarunui Primary School
At our kura, we use a Traffic Light Behaviour System to help students understand and manage their behaviour. This system provides clear visual cues to guide students toward positive behaviour and encourage self-regulation.
Green: Students are demonstrating positive behaviour, following the school values, and are ready to learn.
Yellow: Students may need reminders to adjust their behaviour and refocus.
Orange: A warning is given to students who need to make immediate changes to their behaviour.
Red: Indicates that a student's behaviour is not meeting expectations, and further support or consequences may be required.
Our goal is to help students make good choices, develop self-awareness, and maintain a positive learning environment for all.
