BUSES

Buses cover most areas of Taumarunui including Lairdvale, Hospital Hill, Matapuna, Hikumutu, Golf Road, Echolands, Rangaroa & Owhango.. Please contact the office if you have a query as to times and routes.

COMING TO SCHOOL

Plan with your child the safest way to school. Avoid busy intersections and ensure your child uses available pedestrian crossings. If children are being dropped off in Hakiaha Street they MUST be on the side of the road closest to the school. The main road is a very busy road and poses great dangers to young students.

LEAVING SCHOOL

After school all children should return straight home. If you pick up your child please do not park on the roadside reserved for buses. If your child is to go somewhere other than home after school, please make the child aware of the arrangements before he/she leaves for school in the morning.

BIKES

We use the guidelines from the Police Traffic Department that only children from Year 4 up may ride their bikes to school. Children are to get off their bikes once they reach school grounds and walk their bike to the bike parking area. Children must wear helmets.

CAR PARKING AND STUDENT SAFETY

Traffic flow outside our school is difficult at the best of times and particular care is required in wet weather.

PEDESTRIAN CROSSING

The crossing on Hakiaha St is not to be used by students under any circumstances - it is just too dangerous.

Students must use the Maata St crossing which is staffed at the end of the school day.
